Calusa celebration: Everglades National Park has Calusa Days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center in Everglades City. The free event celebrates the Ten Thousand Islands and island life with demonstrations, activities and storytelling. Cypress hike: Big Cypress National Preserve has a free ranger-led hike to Deep Lake, a natural sinkhole on the western edge of the preserve off State Road 29, at 1 p.m. Sunday. Reservations are required by calling 239-695-4758.
