Frogs, friends, fun at TWS
Friendships are made, not bought. That’s one lesson of Missoula Children’s Theatre’s original musical, “The Frog Prince” by Michael McGill with additional music by Rebecca McGill. The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs is presenting the enchanting show, 7:30 p.m. March 31 and April 1 at 4384 Hampton Ave., Western Springs.
“It’s a partnership with Missoula,” said Children’s Theatre Director Lindsey Branson. “They bring in two teaching artists and we bring in a couple of teaching artists and we do a show in a week together.”
Branson noted that the Children’s Theatre of Western Springs chose “The Frog Prince” because, “Anything classic is always fun and I also think the message of looking past what we see on the outside is always good for kids to learn.”
At press time, 25 children in kindergarten through eighth grade had registered for the weeklong workshop but reservations were still coming in.
Tickets are $12 for adults; $6 for children.
