Evergreen Park

United by Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church: 3240 W. 98th St. — A spaghetti dinner to benefit ELCA World Hunger will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 1. Dinner will be spaghetti, salad, bread, beverages and dessert. Takeout will be available. Cost is $8 in advance for adults and $4 for children 7 to 12 years old. Children age 6 and younger are free. Infant Jesus of Prague: 1101 Douglas Ave. — A Mass and healing service will be at 7:30 p.m. April 10. The public is invited. Individual prayer requests will be accepted. St. Andrew United Methodist Church: 18550 Riegel Road — A living portrayal of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 13. Cast members are from St. Andrew United Methodist of Homewood and St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church of Glenwood, and combined choirs will sing. The portrayal will conclude with Communion. First Presbyterian Church: 17929 Gottschalk Ave. —The chancel choir of First Presbyterian Church of Homewood and the festival choir of Zion Lutheran Church of Tinley Park will present an Easter cantata, “Hope in the Shadows,” during the 10:30 a.m. service April 2. A Palm Sunday service will be at 10:30 a.m. April 9 with a palm procession and music. Maundy Thursday service with communion will be at 7 p.m. April 13 at Lansing Presbyterian Church, 2625 Ridge Rd., Lansing. Redeemer’s Lutheran Church: 4955 W. 158th St. — Free raised garden beds are offered to Link card holders and veterans and are available to everyone else for a $50 seasonal donation. The beds are 18 inches tall, organic and ADA-compliant and would make a good project for schools, day cares, senior homes or Scout troops. Unitarian Universalist Community Church: 70 Sycamore Dr. — The Easter worship service will be led by award-winning singer and song writer Tom Neilson at 10 a.m. April 16. St. Jude Catholic Church: 241 W. Second Ave. — “Sacred Places A Pilgrimage of Promise,” a cantata inspired by Early American song by Joseph M. Martin, will be performed by the St. Jude Music Ministry Choirs & Orchestra with guest soloists under the direction of Tom Labanauskas at 7 p.m. April 11. Admission is free and the public is invited.

Tinley Park

Trinity Lutheran Church: 6850 W. 159th St. — Easter egg hunts begin at noon April 8. Children participate in one of three age groups: toddler to 4 years old, 5 to 8 years old or 9 to 12 years old. Bring cameras for photos with the Easter Bunny. There will be more than 8,000 eggs to hunt, games, a DJ and free refreshments. Information: go to www.tlcs.org.
