In response to the writer from Orland Park, I guess according to you every elected official in the State of Illinois is doing his/her best work. They should retain their positions indefinitely Is that why Illinois is the laughing stock of the nation. Last in everything. But first in the amount of taxes paid. Come on, give me a break.

Each day, I get a new petition asking me to sign to try and stop President Donald Trump from overturning all the accomplishments every day people made over the years, mostly with the help of former President Barack Obama. Environmentally fragile areas being opened to oil, gas, coal and lumber, taking away protections from lands and species in peril, allowing financial institutions to go back to the practices that almost took down this country, consumer protection and allowing companies to again spoil our land, water and air. We are suppose to be getting better and smarter as we progress as humans, but it looks like this presidency only sees dollar signs and not the big picture.

I, like a lot of others are confused about this Russian “thing.” The DNC’s emails were hacked and exposed their corruptness, (just ask Bernie Sanders), Hillary Clinton deals 20 % of uranium to the Russians, destroys her computers while under investigation, gets a free pass from Loretta Lynch ( after a meeting with Hillary’s husband Bill Clinton), not to mention James Comey’s ties to the Clintons, and they are trying to get President Donald Trump for collusion and obstruction of justice? What aren’t I getting here?
