It is sad that Tinley Park is considering getting rid of residency rules for village employees. Instead they should be improving the village image so that employees want to live in the village.

Is anyone surprised about the firings and resignations in the governor’s office? This is a typical businessman-type move and most Trump-like, as well. You don’t get what you want, the heads roll while the businessman is in another state. And, this finger pointing is getting really, really old. Someone remind the governor that when he is continually pointing the finger at Michael Madigan, there are three fingers pointing back at him. That property tax freeze the governor wants will not fix the problem of high taxes in the poorest towns. Fix the manner in which the taxes are determined in the first place.

On his Inauguration Day, President Donald Trump started a fundraising PAC for his reelection campaign in 2020. Strange, right? The guy just takes on the most important job in the country, and one of the first things he does, has to do with fundraising. The family that prides itself on its wealth and success loves to take money from average people — most who have nothing compared to his penthouse decorated in gold. Recent disclosures show that his recent campaign funds are paying the legal bills for his family specifically his son. Why does this extremely wealthy family have to take money from ordinary Americans to pay their legal bills? . . . He can’t hide stuff as a public servant like he did in the private sector. He works for us now, not himself. What is it going to take for everyone to see the Trump family for what they really are?

Sox fans need to see a prospect or two on the field now as a reason to buy tickets, whether they are “ready” or not. The future may be bright, but the current product is dreadful.
