To the Speak Out writer on Wednesday talking about “Make America Great Again” is just a slogan: Former President Barack Obama hope and change slogan means nothing. Obama’s left people with no hope and change was dividing and bankrupting America.
Gov. Bruce Rauner is a sell out. More school funding just increased superintendent and administrator salaries, perks and pensions. Waste is abundant in Illinois. A third of all school districts in Illinois have under 600 students and 25 percent of the school districts in Illinois serve only one school building.
How is it that every year there are pages and pages of high school honor roll students listed in our local papers, yet jobs reports say our country doesn’t have the technical work force available to fill these in demand positions?

With much fanfare, President Donald Trump announced that he would donate $1 million to hurricane relief. While that is nice, how much has he charged the taxpayers so far for golf cart rental and hotel room rentals for the many members of his Secret Service protection detail?
