First Annual Fox Lake Fish Fest: The Mayor’s Fish Fry kicks off the weekend of events. The event includes all-you-can-eat fish, two sides and a non-alcoholic beverage. Beer is available to purchase. Families are invited to the Fox Lake Youth Fishing Derby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. A 30-minute fishing class begins the morning, then the free fishing derby for kids 16 and under begins. MainStreet Libertyville’s Twilight Shuffle 5K Run: The 10th Annual Twilight Shuffle 5K Run is one of MainStreet Libertyville’s top fundraisers and an evening of fun for the entire family. The race offers professional chip-timing, a course through the historic downtown with some moderate hills and many enthusiastic spectators. The post-race party is held at Mickey Finn’s Brewery.
