Holy Land Experience, the Bible-based attraction, will be having another free-admission day this Wednesday.
The event is first-come, first-serve. Previous free days at Holy Land Experience, located near the intersection of Interstate 4 and Conroy Road, have drawn early crowds. The attraction’s operating hours on Wednesday will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Holy Land’s capacity is about 2,000 people.
Normally, admission is $50 for people ages 13 and older, $35 for ages 6 to 12 and $20 for ages 2-5.
The free day was posted to Holy Land’s official website and social-media outlets. It offers one free day a year to qualify under state law for property-tax exemption as a religious entity; however, there have been years when multiple free days were offered. One was held in January.
Daily activities at Holy Land, which opened in 2001, include several live shows such as “The Prodigal Son” and “Out of Darkness,” an original presentation based on Nicodemus’ interaction with Jesus and the healing of a blind man. Also included is the Scriptorium, which displays Biblically related artifacts, some of which are over 4,000 years old, Holy Land says.
Holy Land Experience is planning to launch new Christmas season programming on Nov. 20.
