Bill O’Reilly is now blaming God for his situation. He is also claiming that “these false allegations are harming his kids.” Not his actions that brought this situation and not the domestic violence that they were forced to watch while he attacked their mother. It’s rather odd how these abusers always find themselves to be a victim.
Trickle down tax cuts did not work under Reagan. Why are the GOPers revitalizing it? The industrial giants will pocket their cut, and if more production is required, they will continue to look at further automation, which has already replaced thousand of jobs. Please explain how this will create any new manufacturing jobs. It’s estimated that 59 percent of positions in manufacturing jobs could be lost to automation. Again, Donnie and the GOP are not addressing reality and obscuring the facts.
Our President undermines the U.S. Constitution and freedom of speech itself when he calls mainstream journalism “fake news.” It’s the bedrock of our democracy. Our watchdog on corruption. . Much reporting is solid, well researched and factual. Political bias, yes, but on both sides. Most “fake news” originates from the internet, the far right conspiracy camp, Russia and any coverage that irks Trump or doesn’t flatter him.
A wise woman wishes to be no ones enemy. A wise woman refuses to be anyone’s victim.
The 160 teachers — who were fired from Chicago Public Schools due to various kinds of misbehavior, abuse, and just plain incompetence — have subsequently been hired by various Chicago area charter schools. Is anybody surprised?
To stop some of this rampart abuse, non-disclosure agreements need to be made illegal. They only protect the abusers and allow them to continue to abuse others. The only intention of these agreements is to silence the victim and make sure that the public never hears of their crimes.
Over the weekend, Trump gave an interview to Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network. Please Google it to see one of the most troubling interviews an American president has ever given. One example, he stated that the “Federal Reserve is important psychotically.”
Trump epitomizes the “free ride”. He was given 4 million dollars to start his businesses and then inherited close to $200 million upon his father death. I, too, would be a billionaire if I got such a free ride in the 1970s. Please take off your rose-colored Trump glasses. He only is against a free ride now that his is securely in place.
With all the things Trump has done that could and should be investigated, what is a House of Representatives committee now going to look into? Hillary Clinton’s emails. This is just unbelievable. Think it’s a diversion?
Sorry to have to tell you this, but 12-hour shifts in emergency rooms are the norm and 16-hour shifts are common. If you think that’s dangerous, bear in mind doctors often work 24-hour shifts. Don’t believe me? Call your local ER and ask. Or better, don’t. We’re busy enough.
The article about the Boy Scouts cleaning up St. John/St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Hammond’s infant section for part of an Eagle Scout project was such a breath of fresh air. We have so many wonderful young people that need to be recognized for their good work.
Public Service Announcement: The right to free speech means the government can’t arrest you for what you say. It doesn’t mean anyone else has to listen to you or host you while you share it. The first amendment doesn’t shield you from criticism or consequences. If you are yelled at, boycotted, or have your show canceled, or get banned from the internet, your rights are not being violated. It’s just that people that are listening aren’t impressed and have shown you the door.
When the former president Obama was trying to sell the American people the ACA, he got four Pinocchios from a newspaper, for saying “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan,” remember? Or do liberals have a selective memory, like you see in the Quickly column. Those silly Trumpers!
Have you noticed that anytime Trump mentions Obama, it’s done with anger and disdain in his voice? No president in our history has spoken of his predecessor with such animosity as Trump has. Trump demeans the office that he holds.
