A large brawl at Dunbar High School sent one Chicago police officer to a hospital Wednesday afternoon.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. as students were getting out of classes at the school, 3000 S. King Drive, officials said.

During the tussle, involving kids and adults, an officer suffered a leg injury and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police and Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.

The officer’s condition was not provided.
