Stay with me on this: Then Cook County Board President Todd Stroger passed a VERY unpopular sales tax increase. Then 4th Ward Alderman Toni Preckwinkle ran against Todd and the the hated Stroger Tax. Toni won. She then reestablished the tax over the past years. In addition, she passed a massive and greatly hated Soda Tax. Which the Cook County Commission recently got rid of. Now we learn that Todd Stroger is going to challenge Toni Preckwinkle for Cook County President running on the idea that Toni Tax was a lot more hated than the Todd Tax.
