I am writing in response to President Donald Trump’s tweeting a video of a Muslim desecrating a statue of the Virgin Mary. Muslims revere the Virgin Mary. There is an entire chapter in the Quran named after her. Several years ago, when someone desecrated a marble statue of the Virgin Mary here in our garden, breaking it in two, the local Muslims at Morton Grove’s Muslim Education Center√ took up a collection and paid part of the high price to repair it.
