In August 2013, Jose Rodriquez Jr. suffered a stroke at 31 and developed locked-in syndrome, unable to move anything except for his eyes. Rodriquez has since battled back and regained use of his right arm and leg. Rodriguez, his family and a team of medical workers are working to build up the rest of his body, particularly his left side. (Stacey Wescott/Chicago Tribune)
