The Newtown parents buried their children and then sued the gun company, Remington, driving them close to bankruptcy. The Florida parents will bury their children and maybe do the same. These bloodsuckers who make war weapons shouldn’t be allowed one penny of profit over the murders of our schoolchildren.

Nearly all of these mass murders have been committed with AR-15 style assault weapons. Sales of these should be made illegal, and it should be made illegal retroactively to possess any of those already out there. There is no possible rationale for such weapons of mass destruction being in the hands of ordinary citizens.

Donald Trump assures our school students that “we will do anything to protect you.” Unless, of course, that protection would involve loss of business for the gun industry, which contributed more than $20 million to his presidential campaign.

On Feb. 28, 2017, Trump signed an executive order reversing President Obama ‘s ban of mentally ill people’s ability purchase guns. Trump’s signing allows 75,000 mentally ill people to pass background checks and buy weapons of their choice. Don’t think this qualifies as making America safe again.

After the shooting in Florida, will Trump want to build a wall around every school to protect us from shooters?

It is time for the Republicans to stop blocking new gun laws, and at least try to do something to keep our children from being gunned down in our schools.

Another thoughts and prayers event, but obviously it’s too early to discuss things. Las Vegas was six months ago, but nobody wants to discuss that either. Didn’t President Trump say on his Inauguration Day that “the violence stops right here, right now?” Oops.

I voted for Trump because I did not like Clinton following Obama’s policies. Now that Trump is in office, I think I made a big mistake. Trump thinks if you tell a lie so many times, it becomes the truth. How many presidents did government business on the golf course?

This is what passes for freedom in today’s USA. The freedom to be afraid 24/7.

If Trump and our Congress truly wants to protect our students and teachers from deadly shootings at their schools and neighborhoods, then outlaw semi-automatic weapons. They are simply killing machines. Please stop this horrific madness. Prayers and condolences may help but do not prevent these massacres. We need to elect representatives that will stand up for this important issue. Our youth is depending on us to protect them.

These politicians’ expressions of sympathy for the Florida victims being published alongside records of their unrelenting support for the gun industry shows the depth of their outrageous hypocrisy.

AR-15 rifles are called assault weapons because thats what they are. Hunters, farmers, and ranchers have no use for the them. The military and police are the only ones who do. Why should the public have them?

Another day and there’s another shooting. It’s a good day for gun sales. Living in America with folks who love guns more than their children.
