Remember when Jared Kushner asked for a secure line straight to the Kremlin? He wanted communication that could not be intercepted by the USA. If anyone out there still has any doubts about this guy or this administration, there is no hope for you.
Time to break out the handy “Mass shooting in USA checklist.” Send thoughts and prayers, but not actually do anything useful. Argue over semantics of the term “assault rifle.” Argue over the semantics of the term “terrorist.” If Muslim — use it. If Christian/white — use term “lone wolf,” “mentally ill,” or “troubled past.” Congress will do nothing but

will increase donations “just in case.” Wait for next one.
When pain management doctors greatly reduce or out and out stop prescribing opioid pain meds to people who use them responsibly to manage their incurable long term chronic pain; those who buy them illegally will still be able to get them. There’s something terribly wrong with this.
People have to understand that there is a segment of the younger generation that is very troubled. The juvenile justice system does not have the resources to deal with all of their problems.
I don’t think the second amendment is the only one people should worry about, because as a commenter so clearly stated … they should do something to silence what was described as trolls. What they were really saying was, we should silence people that don’t walk and quack the same way as they think they should. And that’s what you get when you start playing games with our Constitution, and giving in to these think tanks. Nothing good will come out of them for free thinking people.
Oprah now claims that she talks to God and will run for president when he tells her to.
Whoever is happy will makes others happy too. Likewise, miserable people love to make other people miserable too.
These teens that witnessed their friends and teachers being killed right in front of them will be scarred forever. They will not be scared away by the likes of the NRA or the extremists of the far-right.
Do we really need all these gas stations across the street from each other? They all have the same prices, so where is the competition?
If the NRA would state the facts, people would not be turning against them right now. The majority of American’s are not against gun ownership. They are just against assault weapons. They are against mentally unstable people being able to buy mass quantities of weapons and ammunition. Why is that hard to understand? The NRA refuses any limits on their ability to sell weapons and ammunition because it cuts into their profits, it has nothing to do with anything else.
The biggest problem today is the internet and the media and misinformation. Anything goes and as long as you don’t like someone or the cause, the more hateful and untrue, the better.
