Paul Ryan has fired the congressional Chaplain for a prayer in which he “too politically” expressed concern for the poor. That’s a good one. But hardly a surprising action coming from a lame-duck Republican who has built a career out of cozy relationships with the one-percenters.
Free Trade, Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization are Failures and only work for select few at the expense of the workers of the developed nations.
You know that Trump has gone off the rails when he calls into Fox and Friends and starts screaming and the hosts start rolling their eyes.
Remember the line “Anyone but Hillary?” That’s the only platform that the Democrats need right now. Anyone and anything will do to get Trump out of office. Even Republicans will vote Democratic to get the bum out.
The ugly spectacle of Todd Rokita, Mike Braun, and Luke Messer all trying to out-Trump Trump for nastiness in the GOP Indiana Senate primary race is attracting national attention as a model of the hate-mongering that’s ruining our political system. And our country. Nice going guys.
The Post-Tribune should really stop trying to please the two Trump supporters who comments are printed daily in quickly. Trump did not win Northwest Indiana, and Trump supporters do not subscribe to the Post-Tribune.
The money has dried up for the Democrats ahead of the 2018 midterm elections. The DNC had to go get a $1.7 million loan just to keep things going. Maybe that blue wave ran out of steam already ?
Trump wanted a doctor to run the Veteran’s Administration that freely gave out sleeping pills, pain medication and other various medication at will. He was a problem drinker and couldn’t be roused when needed. What if the President of the United States had a serious medical emergency overseas? Then what?
Well, of course Ronny Jackson has withdrawn his nomination to head the VA, before the charges against him can be shown to be true. With all that has come out, will he still retain his very important White House post? Sure, he will.
HUD Secretary Ben Carson wants to triple rent on poor people. He says that poor people “don’t want to make any more money” because they don’t want to pay more in rent—so he’s raising their rent to “motivate” them out of poverty.
Trump didn’t stay overnight in Moscow, but now he did. Trump didn’t even know Stormy Daniels or know that Cohen had paid her off, but now he does. It must be tough on Trump to remember what lies he has told and when. No such problem for his followers. For them, he never lies.
Regarding the Trump tax cuts … I am happy to see that (a Quickly commenter) is now able to afford a new auto that he couldn’t afford before the tax cuts. I work for the state. I can truly say that I have not seen an extra dime in my paycheck from the tax cuts. However, I must say I do have a gut feeling that the commentator is a lot like our president — a big liar.
