
West Leyden High School’s graduation ceremony took place May 22 at the Rosemont Theatre. School officials said there were 334 graduates.
The valedictorian was Savannah Grace Novencido. Natalie Jane B. Agoncillo was the salutatorian. Three graduates — Miguel Galvan, Jillian Jeske and Noelia Talavera — were featured by Superintendent Nick Polyak.
Joining Novencido and Agoncillo in the top 10 among students were Marco Chaidez, Judith Escamilla, Nathaniel Inumerable, Dmitri Marrero, Megan Michorczyk, Ilianna Gonzalez, Kathy Gonzalez and Jessica Ortiz Martinez.
Also recognized were students in the National Honor Society — Natalie Agoncillo, Esther Aldana, DeJesus Archila, Ashley Arredondo, Anthony Aviles, Marco Chaidez, Omar Coronel, Jonathan Damian, Judith Escamilla, Liliana Gaona, Ivana Garcia, Michelle Garcia, Ilianna Gonzalez, Kathy Gonzalez, Elena Guma, Cristian Herrera, Aimee Hurtado, Nicholas Ippolito, Guadalupe Jimenez, Chelsey Lopez, Dylan Lowther, Sarah Malinowski, Dayana Mejia, Ronaldo Melgar, Megan Michorczyk, Bao Song Nguyen, Savannah Novencido, Isaiah Nunez, Alexa Orozco, Jessica Ortiz, Mya Rogers, Karla Rubio, Elizabeth Treto, Lea Wong and Diana Yanez.
