I’m a conservative and not a Gov. Bruce Rauner fan. But I get a kick out of the attack ad on Rauner that four years of failure is enough. What about the over 30 years of failure by Democrat House Speaker Mike Madigan?
I wonder if these politicians spend their own money as carelessly as they spend ours.

Dozens of TIF districts have been created in the south suburbs. Their effectiveness is questionable. If development and its expected increased revenue are not the end result of these TIFs, then the more important questions community leaders should be asking are, what should we be doing that we’re not to reverse the reasons for TIF eligibility and what can we do to make businesses and home buyers see us as a good investment?

A couple of decades ago, Orland Park was the affluent place to live. Now, it’s a madhouse of congested retail outlets that they relied on for tax revenue. Now, they must increase taxes of their residents. . . Their leaders forget the impact of on-line shopping and the closings of their largest retail stores. I wonder if they’re covertly run and influenced by Chicago Democrat’s tax, spend and stick-it to the people actions?
