Let’s be clear, attacks on immigrants by separating and incarcerating their children, even disabled children, is American state-sponsored terrorism. It is intended to incite terror to deter people from attempting legal asylum. We have become a terrorist country.
When this child internment policy is ended, I hope they recycle all those tin foil blankets so Trump supporters can make their hats.
If President Trump and his supporters are such terrible people, then why are illegal immigrants trying so hard to come to America? They know that there kids will be put in a bad situation before they cross the border illegally, but that doesn’t stop them, does it? Using your children to break the law doesn’t reek of being a great parent in my book. You’re telling your kids, it’s OK to break the law; just watch mommy and daddy do it!
When Hillary Clinton coined the term “deplorables” she was exactly right. Even though they went ballistic at hearing how they were described, they have done everything in their power to prove her right.
Fun fact: Canada welcomed 47,600 refugees in 2016. Families remained intact. They assisted in resettlement, communities supported the new families and after no more than three months, they were provided with healthcare.
Trump was right about some of the nations taking advantage of the USA with unfair trade, trade imbalances, illegal immigration, unsecured borders and NATO/UN contributions. With friends like these, who needs enemies?
A change will come. It may take time, and it has been horrific so far, but those who have done these corrupt and evil deeds will be brought to justice.
The Post-Tribune newspaper and Quickly column are very anti-Trump. You should be fair and print some anti-Trump and Pro-Trump comments/articles and let the readers decide what the truth is.
It is important to remember that there are many, many, Trump voters who take glee at the suffering they’ve inflicted. Just think about that for a good long moment.
Evil begins when you begin to treat people as things.
Corey Lewandowski mocked a disabled child that was separated from her mother. His heartless comments show the lack of coherent defense of Trump’s policy, and the depth of anti-immigrant sentiment.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was trotted out to face the press when the flames got too hot for Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She did her best to provide the robotic response required to defend the separation of children from their parents at the border. Later at a Mexican restaurant, she was treated to a loud protest of her policies. This was poetic justice.
Initially, the Trump campaign paid $230,000 of Michael Cohen’s legal fees and the Trump family paid for the document review process after the raid to his home and office. Now, Cohen is angry because Trump won’t continue to pay his legal fees. Really, an attorney that is worth millions, that knew better, expects someone to pay his way? Priceless.
People keep saying that our president has increased his lying. I disagree. He was born to be vindictive and his most consistent trait is lying, it never changes. That’s how malignant narcissists act. That is their normal.
The murderous dictator of North Korea got the world stage he so craved, the cancellation of U.S military exercises with South Korea and Donald Trump’s syrupy praise. So far North Korea’s follow through on a piece of paper that had no details anyway has been zilch. Kim Jong Un gave Donald Trump a bottle of frontier medicine water.
