Anyone that is not hurt by these crying children torn from their parents have got to be cruel, soulless people.

Post-Tribune columnist Fred Niedner wrote a column “Cruelty toward children isn’t supported by the Bible.” This is an excellent, well written article that should be required reading for all of our elected officials.

This administration kidnapped refugee children from their parents, had zero intentions of ever reuniting them and wanted to exploit their pain to deter others. They enjoy committing crimes against humanity and child abuse and now they think they can play the role of the victim. Nice try, but it’s not gonna work.

I have a question for the Trump supporter here in Northwest Indiana: Do you really not understand the difference between asking a shill who’s made a career by lying and condescending in defense of a racist to leave a restaurant, and refusing to do business with a couple because they are gay? Do you honestly not get that there’s a difference between putting kids in protective custody because their parent has been accused of a serious crime, and separating children from asylum seekers with no paper trail, due process, or plan for reunification? Pull the other one, buddy.

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came.” I wonder how Trump would feel if all of his current pending court cases were decided without a judge? In the court of public opinion he is guilty — so there it is.

The really puzzling thing about this administration is this: They are so against Mexicans and the rights of the gay community. Yet they want to be able to go and eat at Mexican restaurants and those that employ a gay staff. Maybe they need to eat at home.

Trump is using his position as president to attack “The Red Hen,” a private business. This is illegal. But then Trump does illegal conflict of interest things every single day and nothing is done about it. This is the person who took an oath to faithfully uphold the laws, and had his hand on a Bible when he did it.

Where’s the MeToo movement for Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who’s a powerful woman in a high level position? To ask her to leave the Red Hen restaurant because she works for a president you don’t like is shameful. If that would of been a liberal woman, somebody would of burned the place to the ground by now. What a sad world were watching, with groups of sore losers attacking woman in public places and all the while the Democrats remain silent and let it happen without a word. The next presidential election is going to be a easy choice for anybody watching this garbage unfold. The MeToo movement should advertise that they’re only for liberal women, and conservative women need not apply!

Some people have considered “Mad Dog” Mattis, Secretary of Defense, as the adult in the White House, the voice of sanity that would keep us from some kind of Trump-generated military disaster. Now we’re learning that Trump no longer pays any attention to him. We are doomed.

As a Gary Public Schools teacher, I feel we teachers always take the brunt of any cost cutting. I am glad to see that our new leadership is cutting the fat in the janitorial and secretarial ranks. There is a lot of wasted manpower that can be better managed by contracting out these duties to qualified individuals. Many of the existing employees can not even use a computer and refuse efforts to get trained accordingly-in other terms, they are dead wood.

Have you noticed how Trump fans jump to his defense for EVERY, SINGLE, THING? Nobody is right all the time, nobody. What we are seeing is the Stockholm Syndrome — the unconscious defensive reaction of being a hostage who emotionally adores and defends their abductor.

Young Trump staffers in Washington, D.C. say they are having a hard time dating. As soon as they say where they work, people are no longer interested. Hazards of the occupation.
