For at least 8 years the far-right have posted pictures of President Obama in a hangman’s noose, his wife as an animal, Hillary covered in blood, and her daughter compared to horrible things. And now that they have been caught putting little children in cages, they want to cry about civility.
When Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant, when two men were escorted out of Starbucks by police because they were black, when Roseann Barr says a black Democrat comes from a family of monkeys — this is because President Trump has sanctioned discrimination as acceptable as he has proved his discrimination many times. I see more to come.
The MeToo movement was formed against sexual harassment and assault. How was Sarah Huckabee Sanders sexually harassed? She was asked to leave a restaurant because of the human rights violations that she and her employer promote.
To the Trump supporter who wanted to know why the #MeToo movement was not speaking up for Sarah Sanders: Ms. Sanders was not sexually harassed or abused. The owner of the restaurant simply went up to her, took her to a private area and explained the situation he/she had with his/her employees not wanting to serve her and her party. The owner then told Ms. Sanders that whatever they already ate and drank was “on the house.” Without making a scene, the Sanders party then left the restaurant. No need for #MeToo to be involved in this particular situation.
You are not welcome to eat here or heckling someone is not a threat or violence. Does someone need to explain this to this administration?
Does anyone know how much taxpayer money is being spent on U.S. 30 in Valpo for beautification and also for sidewalks no one will ever use?
Ivanka Trump, Melania Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kirstjen Nielsen are all complicit. They actively benefit and stand up for a system that demeans and destroys other women and children. Then they wonder why other women don’t support them.
If these migrant workers are trying to have a better life, then why not try to make things better where they come from?
You hear daily in all of the news sources of the illegal immigrants getting caught in the desert or committing some crime and being arrested while they get separated from their children. What you never hear about are the ones coming in legally, going through the process to become American citizens, learning our language, learning job skills, getting a job and becoming productive members of society. This is the majority but you hear very little because it has no newsworthy shock value.
The new budget basically eliminates SNAP for our veterans and their families. That’s the food stamp program. So I never again want to hear from Trump voters on how they support the troops.
Our president is the most entitled and misinformed person ever. He needs to get out of his privileged, rich, lazy, ivory tower and try to feel what hard working people, of all races, go through every day. He is an un-American and does his best to divide this country.
Civil disobedience becomes necessary when an injustice by a major-policy maker it just too much to bear. When this administration continues to hide from the media and tries to make them the enemy, instead of facing them for questions, something has to give.
A concentration camp is a place where a government forces people to live without trial. Usually, those people belong to groups the government does not like. The term means to confine, or keep in secure manner, enemy citizens or terrorism suspects.
