I sure do miss having a president who’s much smarter than I am.
LeBron James and Don Lemon are powerful, intelligent black men, and they scare Trump to death, just like Barack Obama did. Just like all smart people do. He is so easy to read.
Trump continues his name calling and insults. Now, his target is LeBron James’ intelligence. LeBron’s high school must have a higher accreditation than the university Trump attended and his failed university whose students he defrauded. LeBron is several times more articulate than Trump his entire family and press secretary, has not gone bankrupt, has respect and is giving back to society.
After viewing Donald Trump’s latest idiotic tweet about Don Lemon making LeBron look smart, I suggest Donald schedule a series of interviews with Mr.Lemon — maybe he can make Trump look smart too. After being made a fool of by a Russian dictator in front of the whole world, the costly blunder at the Mexican border, and the jobs lost from the tariffs, his image needs some polishing. Sarah Sanders, Kellyanne Conway, and the staff at Fox news aren’t getting the job done.
You should start calling Quickly ….the Trump section. You never publish anything that is not about Trump. I have written several times not about Trump and never see them published. Some of us want to read other things.
Hey Deplorables help me out: is Trump the crafty super-genius who wins because he’s always thinking 9 steps ahead of everybody else or is he the guy who has to be prevented from talking to Mueller because it’s too easy to trick him into perjuring himself? It can’t be both.
The Trump-supporting Quickly commenter who made their startlingly wrong comments about tariffs and what they do, I think, epitomizes the problem with the Trump cult: these are people who don’t understand basic concepts about government, the economy, the world at large, or history. They also can’t be taught because they think anything that conflicts with their beliefs is propaganda from “the left”. The sooner we accept that these people are beyond help and focus our energy on something productive, the sooner we can start cleaning up this mess of a country.
Dear “I remember the days.” There used to be two separate Quickly columns in each day’s paper. One for the sort of thing you’re remembering (“The Dairy Dip opened today so it must be spring”), and another for politics and other national/international issues.
Yes, you can point out all the great things Trump has done to spur on the economy, because for Trump and many of his supporters, there’s really only one thing that matters – the great dollar. Doesn’t matter if he wants to pollute our air and contribute more to climate change by rolling back auto fuel standards and have more coal plants, doesn’t matter that he’s chummy with dictators and could care less if they meddle in our elections or won’t denuclearize, doesn’t matter if he treats any person who’s not a white male with disregard; as long as the economy is doing great, then all is right with the world.
I think it’s great that they’re putting in sidewalks along US 30. Where we really need sidewalks and streetlights, though, is along ridge road through New Chicago and Hobart. Lots of people walk or bicycle down that road at all hours of the day and night to get to and from work or go to the stores. I think it’s nothing short of a miracle that pedestrians aren’t getting flattened by traffic daily. There’s barely a shoulder on that road and it’s extremely poorly lit at night.
I had to chuckle after reading a recent comment suggesting Democrats are lazy, welfare folks who milk the system. Right — nobody who voted for Trump’s (“I love my uneducated people”) cult members are collecting welfare. A lot of the “red states” have a high percentage of welfare recipients, and I am quite certain all of them are NOT Democrats.
Trump said this yesterday about his fellow Republicans who he says don’t like him “I only destroy their career because they said bad things about me.” Can you imagine having such an empty void where your soul should be?
Trump announced that he won the War on Christmas, and the crowd cheered for him. When is Trump going to negotiate with Santa Claus to return the remains of all the soldiers lost in the war on Christmas?
