This year’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will mark the last High Holy Days for the Am Chai congregation. A precious Torah, loaned to the synagogue from its late rabbi who rescued it from concentration camp survivors in Poland after World War II, will be donated to the Illinois Holocaust Museum.
