Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti said Wednesday his team deserved to win against Paris Saint-Germain, who salvaged a last-minute draw in UEFA Champions League action thanks to a goal from Angel Di Maria.

“We played a good game. Looking at our effort, we deserved to win but PSG has so much quality they only need one moment to punish you. We expect a similar game at home and I hope we can have the same performance,” said Ancelotti.

“We stopped them from creating many chances. We were compact, with good possession of the ball and good control of the rhythm. We have to learn how to maintain the same courage for longer. In the second half, they switched systems and created more problems. They are a very dangerous team.”

Ancelotti also said winger Lorenzo Insigne suffered a knock in the first half and could not breathe, hence the decision to take him out of the game.
