Nice job, firefighters: I’d like to give the fire department a big round of applause for the heartwarming, beautiful drive-by they gave a person who turned 93 this week. They did a beautiful tribute to him. They always do a good job. How about giving them credit in Speak Out instead of all that smutty stuff you write. God bless our firefighters and policemen. They are a great bunch of men and women.
House party on Union Street: It is Sunday, July 26, at 8:30 p.m. A live band is performing on Union Street across from the Elgin Police Department ROPE house. How the hell did this happen? Did neighbors in the three- or four-block radiuses sign up for this? I hope the ROPE officer is out of town. If not, he should be fired.
Media-generated issue: I’m calling about Denise Crosby and her column about Columbus. There’s no controversy. They threw a fit, and all the media said, yes, take those statues down. Because you know a statute will hurt us and divide us. There’s no dividing us except what the media is doing. They want Blacks to be against whites. Don’t you realize it’s white, Black, and Mexican and every other nationality tearing down these statues? Once they tear them down, they will come after her and the media.
Trump only for the rich: President Bone Spurs is just feeding fuel to the fire instead of being president. He measures himself on how well the stock market is doing. It is doing well, but it’s feeding the rich. How many of middle-class and poor people have benefited from the stock market? Yeah, a little bump in your 401(k). When I see everybody out there with a good job who doesn’t have to work three jobs to earn a decent living, then I will say the economy is doing great. Right now, we have a massive number of people out of work due to the coronavirus.
Worried about wrong thing: Some on the left are more concerned about Ivanka Trump holding a can of Goya beans than our cities being torn up by Antifa, Black Lives Matter and anarchists who hate our country. If this goes on, we won’t have a country, especially when they come out of the big cities and they hit our suburbs. Vote Trump in November. Biden is weak and ineffective.
