As part of Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s 2021 budget plan, the City Council approved installing 96 parking pay boxes covering about 750 spots, mostly on the North Side and near downtown, during the first quarter of 2021.

The proposal would put pay boxes in popular Montrose Harbor. The plan for new meters was unveiled as part of her budget last fall.

The city is still reviewing the locations for the parking enforcement change so the locations below and in the ordinance are not final.
