Boat safety/inspections: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer free boat safety inspections to ensure compliance with state safety regulations will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 17, at Whalon Lake on Royce Road, west of Illinois Route 53.
