The not-for-profit Community Advocacy Awareness Network will hold a free community unity dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois St. in Aurora.
Organizers said the dinner will honor veterans for their service. It will include a free buffet-style meal, presentations, a chance for networking, entertainment, a holiday gift sign-up for Kane and DuPage counties and more. Those attending must wear a mask to enter.
According to organizers, volunteers from throughout the community are helping out with the event.
