Marquee Sports Network is keeping its Chicago Cubs broadcast team together for the foreseeable future.
The network announced multiyear contract extensions Tuesday for play-by-play voice Jon Sciambi and analyst Jim Deshaies. Sciambi took over in the lead play-by-play position for Marquee last year, while Deshaies is entering his 10th season in the Cubs TV booth.
Marquee did not reveal the length of the deals. General manager Mike McCarthy in a statement described the duo as “a tremendous partnership that was apparent from their first broadcast together last season and will only continue growing stronger in the years to come.”
Marquee has not announced who will fill in on play-by-play and join the booth in guest color commentary roles. Sciambi also serves as the voice of “Sunday Night Baseball” on ESPN Radio.
