A 4-year-old boy was seriously injured during a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Woodlawn neighborhood, police said.
The boy was inside a car with a 22-year-old man on the 1500 block of East 65th Street just before 2 p.m. when gunmen inside another vehicle drove up and opened fire, according to police.
The boy suffered multiple gunshots to his lower abdomen and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious condition, police said. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to the University of Chicago medical center, also in serious condition, police said.
No arrests had been made.
