The Western Springs Historical Society House Walk fundraiser returns to the Chicago suburb from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 19.
Unique to this year’s event, all the participating homes will be in the Old Town neighborhood of Western Springs that will allow guests to walk from home to home — in the true house walk spirit, according to a news release.
Celebrating Western Springs’ rich history, the 2024 House Walk will feature an exceptional collection of homes from historic to contemporary, in a variety of sizes, the release said. Guests will have a chance to gather design and architectural inspiration via a program book and docent commentary. Attending the event is a great way to give back to the community, while enjoying a day of design inspiration and fun.
Tickets will be $35 in advance and $45 if purchased the day of the event. Tickets will be available online at www.WesternSpringsHistory.org and at several in-person venues in March.
All proceeds benefit the Western Springs Historical Society, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to instilling an appreciation of the Village’s history in residents of all ages, the release said. Proceeds from the event will fund the Society’s operating budget, as well as help develop exhibits for the Ekdahl House and the Tower Museum, and provide programs and archival materials for residents.
