Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney, Fire Chief Jeff Sorensen, Police Chief Bob Kampwirth and State Senator Laura Murphy (D-28th) took on a duty last Saturday that’s not in any of their job descriptions, but nevertheless worthwhile: reading to the very young during a gathering to celebrate literacy and libraries on the lawn of the Park Ridge Public Library.
