A man is in custody after a disagreement at Navy Pier Sunday led to the fatal stabbing of a 56-year-old man, according to police.
At about 5:30 p.m. on the 600 block of East Grand Avenue, a disagreement between the suspect, 64, and the victim turned physical. The stabbing took place at the Navy Pier beer garden, according to a police report. The victim had multiple stabbing wounds in his upper body and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Hospital.
Officers found the suspect still at the scene near a set of stairs and some scattered drops of blood, the report said. He also had a laceration in his chest and was transported to Northwestern Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
Detectives are investigating.
