
Glenview police have arrested a third subject and accused him of participating in an armed robbery of a Glenview couple as they were returning to their home in the evening, according to a news release from the department.
Glenview police took Montreal Carr, 30, of the 200 block of Central Avenue, Chicago, into custody on an arrest warrant on July 29 and charged him with armed robbery with a firearm, according to the news release.
Carr is the third and final suspect charged in this case.
All three suspects are being detained in custody per judges’ orders, pending their next court dates.
Glenview police earlier announced they took the first suspect, Angelo Hatter, into custody on June 6 due to a Glenview Police Department warrant. Hatter, a 26-year-old male of the 0-100 block of North Latrobe Avenue, Chicago, is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, according to Cook County court records.
The next subject, Amarion Ray-Williams, a 21-year-old male from the 15100 block of Beachview Terrace, Dolton, is also charged with armed robbery with a firearm, according to Cook County court records. According to a Glenview police news release, the department took Ray-Williams into custody June 16 on a Glenview arrest warrant.
He must next appear in court Aug. 26 at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie, Room 207, at 9 a.m.
Carr has been ordered to appear in court Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. on Courtroom 105 at the Skokie courthouse.
On April 21, 2025 at about 10 p.m., Glenview police responded to the 1700 block of Bluestem Lane for a report of an armed robbery, per an earlier news release. The preliminary investigation revealed a couple, a man and woman, returned to their home and were approached by three male offenders. The offenders displayed handguns and demanded the victims’ belongings. The man and woman gave up their belongings, and the offenders then fled in a Jaguar SUV.
Neither victim was physically injured during the encounter.
The vehicle was later located, unoccupied, in the 4300 block of Federal Street in Chicago.
The victims described the suspects as males, wearing black face coverings and dark clothing.
Glenview police said detectives continue their investigation.
