A 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman were both stabbed Monday night in the Loop, Chicago police said.

At about 9:50 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person stabbed in the first block of North Wabash Avenue and found two victims injured.

Police said the woman and boy were walking when they were approached by two people in dark clothing. One of the suspects pulled out a sharp object and attacked both victims before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victims relocated to the CTA Orange Line platform, where they were treated by paramedics. The woman suffered a puncture wound to the abdomen and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition. The boy suffered a laceration to the left hand and a puncture wound to the abdomen. He was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
