Singer/songwriter John Mellencamp on Wednesday announced a “Dancing Words Tour” this summer, taking him to 19 U.S. cities including the Chicago area.
He’ll play July 11 at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park. Tickets go on sale in a Citi presale at 10 a.m. Jan. 20, followed by additional presales and a general public sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 23. More information at www.mellencamp.com.
The tour, produced by Live Nation, will focus on the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s greatest hits across five decades, including songs like “Pink Houses,” “Jack and Diane” and “Ain’t Even Done With the Night.” Mellencamp last played locally with a trio of shows at the Chicago Theatre in 2023.
