Homewoof-Flossmoor High School moved students Thursday to a remote learning due to a power outage.
The outage affected lighting and emergency systems, the school said in its announcement. All staff also worked remotely for the day.
In an update posted later in the day, the school said power was restored and all athletic competitions would proceed as scheduled, though many practices and other activities were canceled.
The school also reminded students to bring technology home with them in case of unexpected school closures.
