A 28-year-old man was fatally wounded in a triple shooting Wednesday night on the Far South Side in the Morgan Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to a call of people shot shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 11100 block of South Longwood Drive and found three people with gunshot wounds, police said.

A 28-year-old man suffered a wound to the lower back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead. Another man suffered multiple wounds to the body and also was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in critical condition. A third man, 28, was wounded to the left foot and was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
