Three firefighters and an adult were injured following a fire Monday night at an apartment building in the West Town neighborhood, the Chicago Fire Department said.
Officials said the fire broke out in a second floor apartment in the 800 block of North May Street. Larry Merritt, a Fire Department spokesman, said the firefighters were injured slipping and falling on ice and they were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Police said two adults were displaced, and an adult suffered a head injury and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and reported in good condition.
