A 17-year-old boy was wounded Wednesday night in a shooting on the Far South Side in the Riverdale neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 10:10 p.m., the teenage boy was standing inside a yard in the 13000 block of South Evans Avenue when he saw a muzzle flash from a gun. Soon after, he realized he was shot.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and back, and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
