A 16-year-old boy was among two teens critically wounded overnight on the South Side in the Jackson Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot around 2:45 a.m. in the 2200 block of East 67th Street and found a teenage boy unresponsive near an apartment building. The boy had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body, and was taken in critical condition to UChicago Medicine, police said.
After canvassing the area, officers found an 18-year-old victim inside of the apartment building shot multiple times to the body. He also was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
Two firearms were recovered from the scene.
No one was in custody for the double shootings and detectives were investigating.
