Two people were killed in a West Loop car crash overnight Sunday, Chicago police said.

Police and firefighters responded to the crash in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street around 2:19 a.m. Two passengers were found dead inside a white sedan that hit an Eisenhower Expressway support beam and caught fire, police said.

Firefighters extinguished the fire at the scene, and police are investigating the accident.
