Joshua Ola-Joseph scored 26 points off the bench to help lead Loyola to a 75-67 victory over Richmond in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Wednesday.

The Ramblers (9-23) — the bottom seed in the 14-team tournament — erased a six-point halftime deficit and advanced to play No. 6 seed Davidson on Thursday (6:30 p.m., USA).

Kayde Dotson added 16 points for Loyola, shooting 4 of 9 from 3-point range, while Miles Rubin was 5 of 6 from the field and scored 14.

Aiden Argabright finished with 12 points and six assists for the 11th-seeded Spiders (15-17), who also got 10 points apiece from Mike Walz and Will Johnston.

Davidson (19-12) swept the regular-season series with Loyola, winning 79-64 on Jan. 4 at Gentile Arena and 84-64 on Feb. 6 in Davidson, N.C. Third-seeded St. Joseph’s awaits the winner in Friday’s quarterfinals.
