Suicide Prevention Services will host a fundraiser called Spring into Art on Thursday, March 19, in Aurora that will help the organization with its work in the Fox Valley.
Spring into Art will be an evening of art, food and competition from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Society 57, 100 S. River St. in downtown Aurora, according to a press release about the fundraiser.
The event space will turn into an art gallery, and each “springer” attendee will be able to “spring” up and claim their favorite piece of donated art before someone else does, the release said.
Check-in for the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an art preview until 6:30 p.m. featuring original pieces of art from local and regional artists, the release said. During the event, attendees will be able to enjoy appetizers from Rent-A-Chef, dessert from Polly Ann Cakes and a cocktail by Whiskey Acres, and take home art to add to their walls while helping Suicide Prevention Services, with proceeds going towards funding additional counselors for the organization.
Suicide Prevention Services is one of only seven agencies in the U.S. offering comprehensive suicide prevention services under one roof, according to the release, with offices in Aurora and Batavia.
