A Chicago police sergeant was shot Saturday night while on duty in the Pullman neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The sergeant was traveling in a marked police vehicle around 11:11 p.m. near 11200 S. Corliss Ave. when they were shot in the leg, according to police. The sergeant self-transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and was listed in good condition.
Police said an offender is in custody and a weapon was recovered. Officers are investigating the incident.
