A suburban woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly sending a pornographic photo and video to a child, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.
Megan Chladek, 24, of Hickory Hills, was charged last week with distribution of harmful material to a minor and nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images.
Chladek is also accused of sending threatening and racist text messages to the child.
Investigators with the sheriff’s police received a report on Feb. 9 that a juvenile had received the images. They learned that Chladek intentionally sent images of herself engaging in a sex act with another adult to the child and other adults, the sheriff’s office said.
The Cook County public defender’s office, which is representing her, declined to comment on her behalf.
Chladek appeared in court Sunday and was released from custody pending trial, according to the sheriff’s office.
