Three players from Class 4A state champion Marist and one from state qualifier Leo headline first three teams.

First Team

Charles Barnes, Marist, senior, forward: Averaged 17.2 points and 5.6 rebounds while leading the RedHawks to Class 4A state title — the program’s first — in his lone season at Marist after transferring from De La Salle. The 2025-26 Daily Southtown Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Illinois Basketball Coaches Association first team all-state. All-conference.

Darrius Hawkins Jr., Homewood-Flossmoor, sophomore, guard: Averaged 18 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals for Class 4A sectional finalist. SouthWest Suburban Conference’s player of the year. IBCA second team all-state.

Brian Kizer, Leo, junior, guard: Led the Lions to fourth place in Class 3A, averaging 16 points and 4.0 rebounds. IBCA second team all-state. All-conference.

Markese Peoples, St. Laurence, junior, forward: Averaged 17.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists for Class 4A regional champion. IBCA second team all-state. All-conference.

Jamir Ratliff, Hillcrest, senior, guard: Averaged 20 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists for Class 3A sectional finalist. South Suburban Blue’s player of the year. IBCA first team all-state.

Second Team

Jayden Armstrong, Joliet Catholic, senior, guard: Averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists to lead Hilltoppers’ breakout season. All-conference.

Stephen Brown, Marist, senior, forward: Averaged 9.8 points and 5.3 rebounds. Provided huge defensive presence during RedHawks’ run to Class 4A state title. NC State football recruit.

Jack Dempsey, Oak Lawn, senior, guard: Averaged 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Hit 87 3-pointers and broke the program record for career threes. South Suburban Red’s player of the year. IBCA all-state special mention.

Nedas Venckus, Lockport, junior, guard: Averaged 20 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals for  Class 4A regional champion. Shot 43% on 3-pointers. IBCA third team all-state and all-conference.

Nojus Venckus, Lockport, junior, guard: Averaged 16 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Shot 47% on 3-pointers, making 61. All-conference.

Third Team

Remi Edwards, De La Salle, senior, forward: Averaged 11 points and 11 rebounds for Class 3A sectional finalist. IBCA second team all-state. All-conference.

Darron Greer Jr., Argo, senior, forward: Averaged 19.4 points and 6.8 rebounds. All-conference.

Will Johnson, Sandburg, senior, guard: Averaged 17 points and 6.7 assists. All-conference.

Hayden Noha, Oak Forest, senior, forward: Averaged 13.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists as Bengals won second conference title in 39 years. All-conference. Committed to Wisconsin-Oshkosh for baseball.

Adoni Vassilakis, Marist, senior, guard: Averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 assists as steady force for Class 4A state champions. IBCA all-state special mention. All-conference.
