A 38-year-old man was pronounced dead after being shot in the head Tuesday night in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 7 p.m., the man was inside of a residence in the 7400 block of South Rhodes Avenue when he suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken in critical condition to UChicago Medicine where he was later pronounced dead.
Later Tuesday night, two other men were fatally wounded near 79th Street in the same neighborhood but police did not indicate the slayings were connected.
Detectives were investigating.
