Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo
Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen and Daredevil Charlie Cox headline this weekend’s C2E2, but the autograph-meet-and-greets aren’t the reason to go. It’s a playground for creative types — whether your thing is comics, puppet design, or K-pop choreography — and a celebration of fandom. Get your costume on and go. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. March 27-28 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 29 at McCormick Place South Building, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive; tickets from $33.25-$425.75 (children under age 6 free) at c2e2.com
“Theater of the Mind”
Love David Byrne? The Goodman Theatre is staging his “Theater of the Mind,” a project based on Byrne’s life that director Andrew Scoville has described as “falling down a rabbit hole.” That’s a rabbit hole worth exploring. A decade ago, I saw “Here Lies Love,” Byrne’s immersive, disco-pop show based on the life of Imelda Marcos. It’s still rattling around in my head. Tickets ($69-$99) currently through July 12 at Reid Murdoch Building, 333 N. LaSalle St.; goodmantheatre.org
“An Intimate Evening with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen”
It’s fun to watch friends gab. You can spend the night with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen at the Chicago Theatre; expect the TV personalities to do what TV personalities do best: Be likable. 8 p.m. March 27-28 at The Chicago Theatre, 175 N. State St.; tickets from $79.05 at msg.com
Mo Amer
Mo Amer, star of the two-season critically acclaimed Netflix series, “Mo,” will perform stand-up this weekend at The Den. Check out his 2025 Netflix special, “Mo Amer: Wild World.” 7:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. March 27-28 at The Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave.; tickets from $30 (plus two-item minimum) at thedentheatre.com

“Raiders of the Lost Ark” in Concert
Who doesn’t love a good John Williams score? Especially when performed live. Celebrate the 45th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones classic with the Chicago Philharmonic. Cymbals will crash, trumpets will sound, and Harrison Ford will shoot the swordsman. 7:30 p.m. March 28 at Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Ida B. Wells Drive; tickets from $127.34 at auditoriumtheatre.org

Galena Blvd., Aurora; tickets from $61 at paramountaurora.com

Ms. Frizzle fans, take note: “The Magic School Bus” will blast off from the Mac this weekend. The musical adaptation of the beloved Scholastic series and television show tackles one of the best known episodes that features The Frizz and her grade-school charges zooming to the moon and beyond. 7 p.m. March 27 at Belushi Performance Hall, McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn; tickets from $17 at atthemac.org
“Bunny Events in the Parks”
Hop to it: From a Bunny Bonanza to a flashlight egg hunt, you’ve got plenty of opportunities between now and next weekend for Easter-inspired family fun. Depending on the event, you can search for hidden treats, pose for photo opps with the Bunny, jump in a bounce house, get faces painted and create some art. There’s even an egg hunt in Mann Park’s pool. Who knew the Bunny could swim? Various dates and Chicago parks; details on free events at chicagoparkdistrict.com
