Chicago Ridge

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Rubiha C. Musa, 33, Homer Glen, was arrested April 25 in the 10200 block of Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview and subsequently charged with aggravated speeding after driving 80 mph in a 40 mph zone, police said.

Country Club Hills

GUNS POSSESSION: Jamell Compton, 26, 15000 block of Wood Street, Harvey, is to appear in Cook County court at Markham May 14, charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon – machine gun and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, sheriff’s police said. Deputies took Compton into custody April 28 while enforcing a court-ordered eviction in the 3900 block of 171st Place after they found five loaded handguns including two with automatic switches, five extended magazines including a 50-round drum magazine, ammunition, 111 opiate-based pain pills, 75 ecstasy pills and 3.5 pounds of marijuana, sheriff’s police said.

Crete

DUI CRASH: Tyeisha Heavens, 32, 400 block of Fairway Lane, University Park, is to appear in Will County court May 5, charged with aggravated drunken driving/bodily harm and child endangerment, according to court records online. Heavens was arrested Dec. 25 after colliding with a utility pole in the 24400 block of Kings Road, prompting her two passengers to be taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in Hyde Park for treatment, police said.

MACHINE GUN: Christopher L. Carr, 24, Chicago, appeared in Will County court April 28, charged with possessing a machine gun/automatic weapon in a vehicle, possessing a weapon/convicted of a forcible felony and burglary, according to court records online. Officers responding to an early Jan. 15 break-in at Sophie’s Jackpot Slots, 1004 E. Steger Road, recovered a loaded 9 mm handgun equipped to fire automatically and with a loaded magazine inserted from a vehicle Carr had occupied, police said.

Evergreen Park

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Elijah E. Jones Jr., 23, Chicago, was arrested April 21 and subsequently charged with aggravated battery after head butting an officer investigating a disturbance at a fragrance store in the 9500 block of Western Avenue, police said.

GUN THREAT: Gregory D. White Jr., 24, Chicago was accused of aggravated assault April 22 after threatening an acquaintance while holding a handgun in the 2800 block of Western Avenue, police said.

Ford Heights

DEALING CHARGED: Jeffery Sellers, 47, 1400 block of Diplomat Lane, Ford Heights, was charged April 29 with manufacture/delivery of 15-100 grams of cocaine after Cook County sheriff’s police recovered nearly three ounces of suspected cocaine, digital scales and small plastic bags during a warrant-based search in that block, sheriff’s police said.

Mokena

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Eric J. Messer, 20,  9400 block of 191st Street, Mokena, was arrested April 24 and subsequently charged with aggravated domestic battery, police said.

Oak Lawn

DEALING CHARGED: Angel L. Soto Jr., 64, 5900 block of 79th Street, Burbank, was arrested April 3 and charged with manufacture/delivery of less than 15 grams of heroin after officers recovered 7 grams of suspected heroin in a plastic sandwich bag and seven plastic snack bags during a stop at Southwest Highway and Menard Avenue, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Jaridian N. Lee, 26, Chicago, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview May 11, charged with aggravated battery to a person 60 or older, according to police and sheriff’s records online. Lee was arrested April 3 in the 9300 block of Cicero Avenue after punching a man at a nearby gas station, police said.

Orland Park

GUN POSSESSION: Jaz Juan M. Stout, 25, 14700 block of Hoyne Avenue, Harvey, was arrested April 4 in the first block of Orland Square Drive and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after officers knowing he lacked gun permits recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun with an inserted loaded magazine from his car, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING: Mario R. Perez, 28, 4100 block of Wood Street, Dixmoor, was arrested April 5 in the 1300 block of Circle Drive and subsequently charged with drunken driving, unlawful stopping, illegal turning and disobeying a traffic control light after an officer encountered him asleep at the wheel at 135th Street and LaGrange Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: A Calumet City man arrested April 17 after taking a bottle of wine from a grocery store in the 15000 block of LaGrange Road received a second retail theft charge when officers recovered merchandise valued at $283 taken from a department store at Orland Square. Dejuan C. Hardaway, 40, 600 block of Hirsch Avenue, was to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview May 7 on the two charges, police said.

Palos Hills

GAMBLING BURGLARIES: Cash boxes were taken April 24 from 10 damaged slot machines at two video gambling operations, police said. Entry was made to Darla’s Gaming Café, 10612 Roberts Road, and Stella’s Place, 7634 111th St., by shattering the glass front doors, police said.

KNIFE THREAT: An unidentified man threatened an employee at a business in the 11000 block of Southwest Highway with a large knife but left when the employee called 911, police said. The employee had told the man he couldn’t park in a handicap parking spot without a permit, police said.

Tinley Park

KNIFE THREAT: Darin A. Iorio, 25, 17000 block of Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after threatening two people with a hunting knife March 30 at a hotel in the 18600 block of West Creek Drive, according to police and Will County court records online.

Will County

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Felipe Valdez Jr., 31, 15500 block of Scott Drive, unincorporated Lockport, was arrested April 23 and subsequently charged with aggravated domestic battery, sheriff’s police said.
